IThe story
Large gilded letters stand out from a white textured board streaked with gold. Roses and buds in taupe, ivory and red, with sage leaves, gather in two corners.
The calligraphy reads “wa kāna faḍlu llāhi ʿalayka ʿaẓīmā”.
وَكَانَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكَ عَظِيمًا
“And the favour of God upon you has been great.”
Made by hand. Never quite the same twice.
